Au fost publicate nominalizările pentru premiile Grammy 2023. Noua ediție vine cu o serie de surprize, cum ar fi faptul că Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak nu și-au înscris albumul „Leave the Door Open”, după ce anul trecut au câștigat patru premii mari cu single-ul „Leave the Door Open.”
Beyoncé, pe de altă parte, așa cum notează cei de la Pitchfork, și-a înscris albumul „Renaissance”, dar și single-ul „Break My Soul”; în 2020, artista a obținut recordul pentru cele mai multe Grammy-uri deținute vreodată de o artistă.
La un an după ce a lansat „Fearless (Taylor’s Version)”, album pe care nu l-a înscris la Grammy-uri, Taylor Swift a ales să înscrie albumul „Red (Taylor’s Version)” la categoriile „Album of the Year” și „Best Country Album.”
Mai mult, ea a înscris și piesa „All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (The Short Film)” la „Record of the Year” și „Song of the Year”, dar și „I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault)” la „Best Country Song” și „Best Country Solo Performance.”
Grammy-urile au introdus și categorii noi pentru 2023, cum ar fi: „Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical”, „Best Alternative Music Performance”, „Best Americana Performance”, „Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games”, „Other Interactive Media” și „Best Spoken Word Poetry Album.” Plus de asta, va fi inclusă și categoria „Special Merit Award” pentru „Best Song for Social Change.”
